Lopburi Solar Power Plant Project
Natural Energy Development Co., Ltd. developed a greenfield solar photovoltaic power plant that aims at providing carbon-neutral electricity to the national power grid – Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand.
With the total installed capacity of 73.16 MWDC Gross, the project can provide approximately 55 MWAC Net electricity output (i.e. about 109,000 MWh/y) to the grid.

Located in Khok Samrong district of Lopburi province in Thailand, the Lopburi Solar Power Plant Project is considered as the first large-scale solar PV power plant in Thailand at the time of the project implementation in 2011.

- Registration under the Clean Development Mechanism
The project has been registered as a Clean Development Mechanism project under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 2011.
- Commercial operation
Stage implementation was opted by the client. The project has been implemented in seven stages over the first operational year, with the first stage started in December 2011 and full operation since March 2012.
- Issuance of carbon credits
Issuance of carbon credits for the third verification was granted successfully in July 2016. The project has achieved 258,420 tonnes of CO2 emission reductions so far.
