The NED 55MW mega solar farm is located in Lopburi Province of Thailand that aims at providing carbon-neutral electricity to the national power grid – Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand.
- Mega-solar farm:
At an installed capacity of 55MW-AC, the NED Lopburi Solar Power Plant is the first large-scale solar farm in Thailand, producing 109,000MWh electricity in a year. That’s equivalent to lighting up 9,332 homes for an entire year. - Since inception:
Asiatica has been assisting NED on the project’s carbon credit endeavour since the project’s inception
- Asian Development Bank:
The ADB purchases all of the project’s carbon credits. - Successful Carbon Credits Issuance:
Issuance of carbon credits for the third verification was granted successfully in July 2016. The project has achieved 258,420 tonnes of CO2 emission reductions so far.
